Liner Notes:
These here songs on this here collection were all recorded at various live shows
between 1991 and 1995.When we were on form we were shit hot live,in-our-element type
of ting.And,like the man said;
- "You could fry eggs on that fuckin' band"

In the beginning we functioned best when we worked off each other's dynamics but
somewhere in the middle we lost it.Basically,we were spending too much time in the
studio as the record company had discovered 'formatting' and were frantically imposing
it on every act.This consisted of recording 8(yes,it says eight) B-sides per single.This
was too much.12 songs for an album and then three singles,plus the odd screaming
dud,meant we recorded 40 songs around the album 'Sleepwalking' which drained us.We
had such a bad time we decided to take some time off to get some of our old selves
back but that cost us nearly 2 years which is why we took so long to get 'In The
Best Possible Taste' out.
What kept us going through the merky middle years was the live gigs over which we
had total control.Playing live was always when we felt we were out on our own and
the band was the most important thing in the world and none of the rest of the bullspit
applied.
There are no screaming duds here.What you hear is what you get and in my humble but
correct opinion 'shit hot' is putting it mildly(and that's me being modest).
