How about it? An update and a keen one at that... we now have
a forum - where you can
talk to each other, ask questions, plug your kingmaker auction
or ask if anyone has a copy of a video. I'll be active in it.
Go register and be active in it yourself. So what are you waiting
for? Come say hi.
4.7.05
Added
lyrics to "Sick and Angry Children" to the lyrics section.
Thanks to Mark Sturdy for getting those to me.
Also, thanks to Mark, we've found where you can get the MP3
albums from Kingmaker. Try vitaminic.com
Added
10 Years Asleep in MP3 to the Audio section. Enjoy.
2.3.05
I had to remove the guestbook entry for a couple of months ago.
Stupid spammers filled it up with advertisements for viagra
and such. Sorry - I may put up a forum. If you think that's
a good idea, let me know.
By request, I've uploaded the version of Free Wheeling from
The Celebrated Working Man EP in the Audio section.
I've gotten overloaded with requests for the Emusic albums.
Sorry guys, Emusic deleted them and since I don't know what the
wishes of the band are, I can't give you copies. You might want
to ask Emusic for an explination - though I don't know if they'll
be able to provide one.
I've updated the links to the album images on the discography
pages. Should be correct now.
3.4.04
Wow. Long time, no action. I've updated the discography to reflect the MP3 albums as being on Emusic. I've also updated the audio page so that the Real Audio links work hopefully. I'll be making all of the selections MP3 shortly since RealAudio stinks, as we all know.
So, all of this said, it's pretty apparent that the everyday business of life has made this site harder and harder to maintain. I'll consider this site an archive of Kingmaker stuff that needs to be on the web. If anyone thinks it should be more and thinks they can do a better job, please get in touch with me. I think it needs to be in some more careful hands than mine. Until that day comes though, the site will remain where it is and continue to serve as a resource. As always, I'll do my best to answer any questions and field any suggestions you have.
5.10.01
So, It's been 7 months since I did anything with the site.
Never worry, I haven't abandoned the site. I just needed to get
motivated, get off my ass, fill requests and add new info. Well,
that's just what I've done.
Added
some compilation album covers and a new compilation title to the
discography, thanks to Edgar Huber.
Added
both 'In The Best Possible Taste' versions to the audio
section, along with 'Freewheeling', thus fufilling long over due
requests.
Haven't
heard from Loz or John lately, so I can't say what their doing
now. If you are John or Loz or Myles, get in touch.
10.31.00
Tim Joseph: I'm kissing this guys ass big time. Why?
I can now say we have a 99.9% complete discography. Compilations,
demos, you name it. I can only imagine the amount of time he put
into this. Thanks for making this site continue to be the source.
Check it out in the discography.
10.31.00
Halloween! Time for a spooky revamp of the site for all the ghosts
and goblins. (Sorry, had to throw in the holiday cheer).
Tomorrow will see my interview with Loz in HybridMagazine.com. This interview was done via email
about a month ago. It answers a lot of questions, fills in a lot
of blanks and (you lucky, lucky people) I've posted the complete
Q & A we had here.
09.18.00
Added some b-side lyrics to the lyrics page thanks to
Loz Hardy. He says he plans to help fill out out lyrics section
with all of the goods.
New lyrics can be found for:
Wonderful Garden
This Time, This Town, This Sea
Every Teenage Suicide
Friends In Low Places
S*T*A*R
Warm Heart, Cold Feet
Backroom Boys
Another Bad Dose of Home Truths
Dissatisfaction Guaranteed
What Can You Do For Me Now?
Electric Sue
No Way Out
These are in addition to the B-Side lyrics we already have.
Also, posted a link to the Wonder Stuff's site and to my goofy
personal site (not Lime Web) in the links section.
08.23.00
Hello again. A lot has happened since the last update. First things
first:
1) The 4th and final release through iCrunch.com
has come out. It's called 'Missing In Action'. Get all the details
in the discography.
2) A certain Loz Hardy has gotten in touch with me. We're working
to make this site complete. Expect more info in the coming months.
3) I suppose we're all people with musical tastes from another
time, that's why this is important: The Wonderstuff is playing
a one-off reunion gig in December. Man, if only I could be there.
04.25.00
Well, we passed the 1,000 hit mark. Woo-Hoo! What's new?
Added lyrics for Pyjama Girl to the Lyrics
section. (Thanks to Mark Sturdy, our man with the ear... or gatefold
lyrics).
Added the Q magazine "Where are they now" article to
our new section called "Where
Are They Now?" (I just
can't stop my creative naming process).
Added 2 new links to the links section under
the title "Misc."
And some mysterious guestbook signer is talking
about getting the mighty maker to do a reunion gig. Just remember
to save enough money to fly me out for it. If you're in Kingmaker,
contact this person!!!
03.02.00
The final new Kingmaker album has been released.
A big thank you to the people over at Crunch
and to Loz for giving the Kingmaker fans of the world these new
releases.
'Ersatz Love' is now available at Crunch.
The album contains demos and some rarities. Now, how about a reunion
gig? (and plane tickets for me to see it, since I live in the
states). Check the discography
for more details on all of the kingmaker albums.
02.02.00
Groundhog Day...
'Coming Up For Air' is now available at Crunch.
Buy the album there, then come back for the cover and liner notes
in the discography.
Thanks to our good friend Ben Reed, we now have some non-album
tracks. Check them out in the Lyrics section.
01.26.00
Big Discography Update here...
Jimmy dropped me a line telling me that the 2nd of 3 albums of
unreleased Kingmaker tunes should be released by Crunch
next week. 'Coming Up For Air' is outtakes and alternates. You
can find the liner notes and album cover in the discography.
Big thanks to our friend Muzz who provided us with more discography
info on the singles. Added a maroon-ish hugh to the left side
of the discography
for (hopefully) easier navigation. Also, by request, I've posted
Tab's from the OLGA database for all of you guitarists out there.
Again, in the discography.
12.22.99
Our good friend Jimmy at Crunch has supplied me with the album
covers and liner notes for all three of the new albums. I'll post
them as I see the albums available. For now, you can find the
info on Piss Up A Rope in the Discography.
12.21.99
Although not listed in their artist listing, a search will produce
results for new Kingmaker at www.crunch.co.uk. "Piss Up
A Rope" (the only title available as of this update) appears
to be a collection of B-Sides. The entire album is about $25 (american),
but well worth the dough if you aren't lucky enough to own some
of these gems. Below is a link that will take you directly to
the track listing.

11.27.99
Well, I fucked up and erased the recent guestbook entries when
I posted the re-design. Sorry. It doesn't mean I don't love you.
HEY, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?????
Sent to me on Nov. 22, 1999
Hi there....
Is it possible for you to send me the URL of your Kingmaker site
again as i
have lost it. Just to let you know there will be some new Kingmaker
product
which will only be available via MP3 on www.crunch.co.uk Loz is currently
collating rarities, live stuff and demos which will make up a
new album. I
shall keep you posted as tho how this is going.
hope to hear from you soon
jimmy

By request of Kingmaker fan Paul Smith (who sold his copy of Sleepwalking,
for shame) I've posted 10 Years Asleep in the audio section. Like
I said, let me know what you want and if I can I'll post it. :)
Also, I'm wondering if you'd rather MP3's instead of RealAudio.
Let me know
Updated the Discography section with cover shots of To Hell With
Humdrum and Two Headed EP. Thanks to Jon Maddock.
I recently got a copy of the UK pressing of Eat Yourself Whole
with lyrics to Wave and Everything In Life. I will update the
lyrics section with these soon. Anybody else fucking love the
drunken Celebrated Working Man track at the end? Us yankees didn't
get that on our album. :(
9.9.99
A Y2K date. 9.9.99. Expect much shit to go wrong, but not here.
So, the hard drive crashed (user error) and I lost a lyrics page
for B-Sides and I can't remember who sent it. If it was you, please
get in touch so I can add it to the page. Thanks.
A new look for the Unofficial Kingmaker Site. Hope it works well.
If you see any problems or have any additional information please
send me an e-mail.
The guestbook has become the place to be on the site. It's probably
the best place for up to the week/month/year news, but I'll try
and shove what I can in here.
LOZ ALERT: Many Kingmaker fans have alerted me that Loz helped
write the new Elastica album. (Good, they need it.)
And another thank you to everyone for supporting this site. I
would've quit it a LONG time ago if I didn't have you guys giving
this site content.
